Tom Clancy’s “Jack Ryan” (2018-Present)
Fighting the Good Fight…
It takes hard work, tenacity, and good old-fashioned fortitude, to earn a Ph.D. in economics. Now, how does a guy with that skill set end up working for the CIA?
Dr. Jack Ryan is the guy. He goes to places other agents choose not to go, and does work that other agents would not necessarily do. But, the best part of the journey with Dr. Ryan is the group of people around him, that is, the people on his team. The team has a collection of skill sets that can pull off ops against high tech bad guys. And,

they are not afraid to fight the good fight with low tech, and make use of whatever is available, to get the job done. They care about each other, and they care about

the work that they do. If this team gets the opportunity, they just might shift the paradigm about how to maintain national security for our nation. But, the question is…

will they get that chance?

Starring: John Krasinski, Wendell Pierce, Abbie Cornish, Michael Kelly, Betty Gabriel and Michael Pena
Rated TV-MA / Number of Seasons 4 / Streaming on Amazon Prime

"Andor"
The Star Wars Saga has many heroes, many foot soldiers,

and many players. A galactic rebellion needs people stationed

in all areas, on all planets, but somehow working together

with a unified purpose. Cassian Andor did not sign up for this.

But, in most cases, the individuals who become heroes answer the call because they are in the right place, at the right time, and step up to fill a need. Because of the Empire, most planets are populated with inhabitants who are in survival mode. How does Cassian respond when dangerous people and circumstances are all around, survival is on the line, and someone who is helpless needs him to intervene?

Harts In Praise Productions Film Review Blurb:
"Agent Carter" (TV Series)

“Fighting the Good Fight” began long ago. Dark forces must be thwarted and the world must be saved.

Dealing with an enemy that is always trying to get a step ahead is just the kind of work that Peggy Carter is uniquely

trained to do. Peggy has the skills and ability to see the big picture and put together a team that, as a welcomed change,

is one step ahead of the enemy. Peggy is confident, brilliant, and can stand toe-to-toe with the best strategists and soldiers

out in the field. The series also gives a snapshot of what Stan Lee’s Howling Commandos team was all about.

They were a formidable force for good. Agent Carter is an excellent series.

Starring: Hayley Atwell, Enver Gjokaj, James D’Arcy , Chad Michael Murray, Bridget Regan, and Shea Whigham

Falcon and the Winter Soldier
Right now, it's all about the shield.
What exactly is the best way to remember "Cap"

(Captain America)? Falcon is thinking about it, Bucky is thinking about it, and America is thinking about it.
Of course, the villains are not. The quest for global domination never ends for the bad guys. If you are ready to dive into some new adventures with the Falcon and Bucky, you are in the right place. Just don't miss the opening sequence. Just saying.

Starring:  Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Emily VanCamp, and Wyatt Russell
Rated: TV-14 LV

“Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One”

To “AI” or not to “AI?” that is the question. Technology can go right, of course. But, the question is… what do you do

if it goes wrong; terribly wrong? The IMF has lots of issues to address, with only a few slivers of good intel,

a shortage of personnel, and very little time to pull it all together. There are old friends, old fiends, and some new faces

as well. The Mission Impossible franchise has a team of actors and film staff which are dedicated to adventure cinema.

The film has stunning locations, incredible action, awesome stunts, and plot twists that are sure to cause a gasp and fingers to your lips. Trust me. This is an action-packed journey that will give you a lot to think about as you wait for part two.

Starring: Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames, Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Hayley Atwell, and Vanessa Kirby
Rated: PG-13

(Action and Adventure)

“Loki”
Marvel Cinematic Universe takes a deep dive into quantum physics. Loki,

the brother of Thor of the Asgard, uses the Tesseract cube to time travel away from being brought to justice on his home planet. Why would Loki attempt a time jump?

C’mon he’s Loki. If you are game for a fast-paced science class in quantum physics and the Multiverse, this is your TV series. You can try out lots of scientific concepts like string theory, M theory, black-hole physics, time travel, and time loops. Just when you think you’ve got it, a new complication. But, the best part of the series is that Loki’s journey helps him to peel back the layers of his own ideas, his own plans,

and his own motives. The series will surprise you with different threads of the journey; friendship, resolve, teamwork, love, and compassion.

It is definitely a science rollercoaster. But it is well worth the ride.

Starring: Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, Jonathan Majors, Owen Wilson, Ke Huy Quan, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw
Rated: TV-14

"Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power"
Watch or re-watch the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, if possible. If not, you will still enjoy the journey of Galadriel in the Rings of Power. The challenges and the circumstances require teamwork and a plan. Alliances are built, old friendships are renewed. The Dwarves,

the Elves, the people of the Southlands, work together against

a common enemy. Age-old evil has found a doorway to Middle Earth. Survival is the goal. Fight and live to fight another day. In the process, the team of heroes will learn to trust each other in spite of their differences. They learn to pool their skills and their resources to combine forces against pure evil. The question is, will they survive?
Starring: Morfydd Clark, Robert Aramayo, Charlie Vickers, Ismael Cruz, Nazanin Boniadi, Owain Arthur, Sofia Nomvete,
Rated: TV-14

“Ahsoka”
The latest series from the Star Wars saga is the story of Ahsoka.

The character’s adventures create another thread

of the multi-faceted saga. On this thread you will find the story of Ahsoka, attempting to thwart the return of one of the dreaded leaders of The Empire.

So much is going on in the New Republic. They are trying to build something new and lasting with the prevailing understanding that there are only a handful

of Empire loyalists with limited resources. Or, so it seems. The ruling council

does not believe that there is any credible threat. There are only a few Jedi left.

What can a few Jedi accomplish with the challenges of the changing

face of politics in the galaxy?

Starring: Rosario Dawson, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Mary Elizabeth Winstead,

Ray Stevenson, and Diana Lee Inosanto
Rated: TV 14

The Mandalorian
What seems to be the end does not always mean game over. Rebuilding after the fall of The Empire means new alliances,

new ways of doing things, and in the case of the Mandalorian,

new ways of viewing relationships and connections. One of the results of these changes is that a feared bounty hunter inherits a totally new type of assignment.  This is a great series for family and friends.

As the series progresses, you may be inspired to take a look

at old things in a new way.

Starring: Pedro Paschal
Rated: TV-14

"Avatar: The Way of Water"

The film is an absolute feast for the eyes, of the wonder and beauty

of nature. James Cameron, the cast, and the crew take us to a fantastic world, teeming with beautiful and exotic creatures, lush forests and trees,

and inhabitants who cherish their surroundings, their culture, and their place in the world. Unfortunately, as is often the case, those who would plunder, destroy and drain their world of precious resources arrive with
tools and technology. Can the people overcome this foe?

Or will they be consumed in the process...?

Starring: Zoey Saldana, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Kate Winslet,

and Stephen Lang
