All Hail the Power (Diadem)
and the Joyful Harts Music Library
Oh, that with yonder sacred throng
We at His feet may fall,
we at His feet may fall!
We'll join the everlasting song
and crown Him, crown Him,
crown Him, crown Him,
and crown Him, crown Him
crown Him, and crown Him Lord of all.
Hebrews 2
9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. 10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
Worship Suggestion:
The sound file is looped.
1. Before the song begins, make remarks about who Jesus Christ is in the heavenly realm and who Jesus is in the earthly realm. Emphasize that the readings for today describe aspects of the glory, power, and majesty that He left behind in heaven, to come down to earth to preach, to teach, and to serve. He worked here in his ministry, instructed the disciples, healed the sick, raised the dead, and went out in the world to bring more disciples into The Way. He died for our salvation, was buried, and rose from the dead with all power in His hands. He sits at the right hand of God and serves as our mediator, pleading for us. We should give Christ Jesus the glory, the honor and the praise for his mighty acts.
2. As the song plays the first time, Read Hebrews 2:6-18 and Revelation 19:1-16
Let the song end.
3. As song plays the second time, sing Verses 1 - 3 together.
4. Prayer and Meditation
All hail the power of Jesus' name!
Let angels prostrate fall,
let angels prostrate fall,
bring forth the royal diadem,
and crown Him, crown Him,
crown Him, crown Him,
and crown Him, crown Him
crown Him, and crown Him Lord of all.
Ye chosen seed of Israel's race,
ye ransomed from the Fall,
ye ransomed from the Fall,
hail Him who saves you by his grace,
and crown Him, crown Him,
crown Him, crown Him,
and crown Him, crown Him
crown Him, and crown Him Lord of all.
