EPM Topic 7 is for introspection only.)
When we read the description of the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31,
we can be encouraged by the description and detail of what God wants us to be. Yet, it is possible that we may become acutely aware of our failings in living up to this design.

If we use this scripture as a checklist to attain to, we can proceed

with joy. If we use it as a checklist of completed accomplishments,
we may despair because of missteps and failures of the past.

But, there is Good News.

The Good News is found in the last two verses of the chapter.

(Proverbs 31:30-31)
"Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth

the LORD, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands;

and let her own works praise her in the gates."

Just as God left us The Ten Commandments as The First Covenant

for His people, Jesus Christ came to atone for our sins and failures living under The Law, seal the New Covenant, and teach us the Greatest Commandments. God gave The Virtuous Woman description for us

to attain to, but makes clear to us the greatest item in the list found

in verses 30 and 31. Often when we read the Bible we identify

our mistakes and failures. We become discouraged and miss

The Good News!

"Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth

the LORD, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands;

and let her own works praise her in the gates."
